On September 15, 2008, Laura Dysert, Director/Teacher and Debbie McCulley, Teacher Aide, greeted the first child into Koinonia Preschool, a ministry of the Fort Jones Community Church. Six children attended opening day.  Enrollment was eleven at the end of December, 2008.

Our mission is to provide a Christian education and developmental program to our preschool students. 

The 2008 – 2009 school year runs from September 15, 2008 to June 12, 2009. We are closed during the summer.

Our curriculum is Bible based, beginning the school year off with learning about: who God is. He created all things. He always gives us what we need. The children learned about what prayer was and how God always listens when we pray to Him. We have talked about His never ending love for each one of us and different ways we can give God glory and praise.  Thanks to Pastor Brett McMorris, the children have the opportunity to engage in music and song time every week on Monday mornings.  The children have been learning new songs as well as making requests for old ones to Pastor Brett.  The children have a variety of musical instruments to choose from and play along with Pastor Brett and help him keep the beat of the music.
