Of The Christian and Missionary AllianceFJCC TodayIn 1991 we as a body decided that if we are to reach the unchurched of Scott Valley, then we must have facilities that are visible, attractive, accessible, and expansible.- We identified such a property on Highway 3 north of Fort Jones - the old Conifer Inn Restaurant and moved into the building. We converted our former church building into an Alliance Youth Center, which is no longer being used. This building gives us a facility that meets our requirements without being extravagant. It provides a place for worship, instruction, fellowship, and recreation - a comfortable space where we can bring our families, our friends, and others we meet who know or need to be introduced to Jesus Christ. We would be short-sighted if we didn’t want to grow beyond the capacity of the new building. As many others from the Valley join us, we need to consider the possibility for expansion. We have a dream of growing beyond the limitations of our new building - reaching out to the hurting, lonely, and lost people around us. This building and the adjacent land give us the ability to continue to grow.In 2005 - We began construction on two Sunday School classrooms, and by September 2006 they were in full use. The classrooms are only a portion of a larger vision to create a Christian school for children throughout Scott Valley. With prayers and planning, in 2010 that vision is becoming a reality. Starting in 2011, the first students will be taking classes at Scott Valley Christian Academy.
